We’ve been forging these beautiful horseshoe handles in our Mingus, Texas shop for years. Each one starts with a real horseshoe and is carefully shaped by hand into a strong, functional pull handle.
Whether you’re outfitting a barn door, upgrading kitchen cabinets, building custom furniture, or adding character to a gate, these handles bring authentic Texas ranch style and legendary durability.
We offer personalization — different lengths, hole patterns, or even custom finish if you’d like.
Perfect For: • Barn & stable doors • Garden gates • Rustic furniture pulls • Interior cabinetry
Here’s a hearty ranch classic that pairs perfectly with this handle in your kitchen:
Ranch Style Cowboy Pinto Beans (serves 6–8)
Ingredients:
1 lb dried pinto beans, rinsed and sorted
6 cups water or beef broth
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ lb smoked ham hock or bacon, chopped
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
1 tsp black pepper
1–2 jalapeños, sliced (optional for heat)
Fresh cilantro and cornbread for serving
Directions:
Soak beans overnight or use quick-soak method.
In a large pot or Dutch oven, sauté onion, garlic, and ham/bacon until fragrant.
Add beans, water/broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and jalapeños.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat. Cover and simmer 2–2½ hours until beans are tender.
Taste and adjust seasoning. Mash slightly if you like thicker beans.
Serve hot with fresh cilantro and warm cornbread.
These handles aren’t just hardware — they’re pieces of Texas blacksmithing tradition you can use every day.
Personalization & custom orders welcome.
